Get Ready for your Senior Session
Your Senior session is coming and it's time to prepare! Let's talk clothes, makeup, and other things...
CLOTHES Be Comfortable! We will be walking around, sitting and possibly laying on stuff so wear something you can move in.
Layer Up. Layers photograph well and removing a scarf, cardigan, etc., during your shoot can give another look to an outfit. In the summer, layer a tank top with a leather jacket or cardigan.
Bring at least two outfits (we'll find somewhere to change). One should be casual (jeans, blouse, boots) and another dressy (dress, heels).
Accessorize. Layer up on the bracelets or necklaces. Choose one statement piece and let the other jewelry compliment it.
Texture is fun. Wearing sparkle, lace, pleating, fur, etc., are the BEST!
HAIR/MAKEUP My first and best piece of advice is....get it professionally done! You won't regret this decision. Getting your hair and makeup done before your session takes so much stress off of you and allows you to enjoy the day and get pampered! Usually it takes approximately 2 hours for hair and makeup, so plan accordingly. If you need recommendations, let me know!
If you are confident in your hair skills, at least schedule a makeup appointment...again, you won't regret this decision! Professional makeup photographs very well and a well trained makeup artist knows how to apply makeup for the camera.
If it is just not in your budget, apply your makeup slightly heavier because the camera will not pick up lightly applied makeup. Again, a professional is best :)
NAILS Get them done. Light colors, french manicure are best.
BRING WITH YOU A pair of easy slide on shoes for walking (flip flops, etc) Powder and lip gloss for makeup touchups.
